Spacing of the pleats allows for air travel across the entire surface of the filter and increased filtering capacity. Larger dust particles are captured at the top and bottom of the pleat. Smaller particles will be caught in the sides of the pleat surface.
The filter is constructed from a rigid, fire retardant material. It performs extremely well even in difficult operating conditions. The filtering media is glued to the frame itself, ensuring that the air will not be able to escape, or bypass the filter.Maximize your Energy Efficiency
The most important thing to know is the correct length, width and thickness for your replacement air filter. Once you know that, you can decide what's most important to you. Is it maximizing your energy efficiency? Removing more particles from the air? Clean air in your home should never be compromised. That's why we carry a wide selection of residential and home air filters, pleated air filters, furnace filters and ac filters, to help you breathe easier in your home.
If you are prone to respiratory distress or your home has recently undergone a renovation or was otherwise exposed to a large amount of dust and debris, change them more often. Pet owners might also want to consider changing their filters more often especially when multiple pets are in the home.
If regular air filters are not enough for your home, consider purchasing a furnace filter with electrostatic qualities. These filters capture more airborne particles, and they can protect you against many common allergens that may cause your family distress. Electrostatic air filters are commonly available from many big box stores, but buying online is often the best way to get them for a substantial discount.
In addition to changing your furnace filters, some homeowners benefit by purchasing an air purification system. These systems are available for single room or multi-room, and they can help to reduce or eliminate airborne pollutants. When shopping for your unit, search for one that has the AHAM seal of approval to ensure quality and reliability.
In addition to changing your air filters and purchasing a home air filtration unit, there are some simple steps you can take to control home air pollution and protect air quality.
