20x20x1 MERV 11 Pleated Furnace Filter

20x20x1 MERV 13 Pleated Furnace Filter

20x20x1 MERV 8 Pleated Furnace Filter

This filter is a high quality, economical aftermarket replacement.

Made of 100% synthetic media. It will not absorb water, preventing the growth of mould, fungi and bacteria. Made with fire retardant materials. A rigid constructed housing with efficiently spaced pleats, enabling excellent surface capacity for better filtration of airborne particles. The filtering media is supported by an expanded metal grid, allowing for a 95% open filtering surface area. Precise pleating methods allow for an aerodynamic design. The filtering media is a hydrophobic , 100% synthetic material whose performance will not be adversely affected by humid conditions. Our Pleated Merv air filters uses 100% recycled filtering membrane and 100% mechanical filtration.

20x20x1 Pleated Air Filter

Spacing of the pleats allows for air travel across the entire surface of the filter and increased filtering capacity. Larger dust particles are captured at the top and bottom of the pleat. Smaller particles will be caught in the sides of the pleat surface.

The filter is constructed from a rigid, fire retardant material. It performs extremely well even in difficult operating conditions. The filtering media is glued to the frame itself, ensuring that the air will not be able to escape, or bypass the filter.

How often should I swap out my furnace filter?

Each pleat is adhesed to the housing frame, protecting the pleat from being damaged or distorted and reducing their efficiency.

The Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values (MERV) scale rates the efficiency on a scale of 1-20.

The minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) scale goes from 1 to 16. Most residential filters range from 4 to 12.

Furnace manufacturers prefer the traditional spun fiberglass filters (MERV 2) because they filter out enough of the large particles to protect the furnace while providing maximum airflow. Maintaining the furnace manufacturer's specified airflow is critical to achieving energy efficiency and maximum life from the blower motor and heat exchanger.
