This filter is a high quality, economical aftermarket replacement air filter.

Made of 100% synthetic media. It will not absorb water, preventing the growth of mould, fungi and bacteria. Made with fire retardant materials. A rigid constructed housing with efficiently spaced pleats, enabling excellent surface capacity for better filtration of airborne particles.

Pleated Filters

Spacing of the pleats allows for air travel across the entire surface of the filter and increased filtering capacity. Larger dust particles are captured at the top and bottom of the pleat. Smaller particles will be caught in the sides of the pleat surface.

The filter is constructed from a rigid, fire retardant material. It performs extremely well even in difficult operating conditions. The filtering media is glued to the frame itself, ensuring that the air will not be able to escape, or bypass the filter.

Maximize your Energy Efficiency

The most important thing to know is the correct length, width and thickness for your replacement ac filter. Once you know that, you can decide what's most important to you.  Is it maximizing your energy efficiency?  Removing more particles from the air? Clean air in your home should never be compromised. That's why we carry a wide selection of residential and home air filters, pleated air filters, furnace air filters and ac filters, to help you breathe easier in your home.

How to Choose a 16x25x1 Air Filter ?

Replacing your furnace filter is never going to be fun or sexy. You change them because they’re dirty and you want to breathe healthy, indoor air.  It’simportant to learn about the differences in filter design and materials used as these features can impact performance and your pocket book.

You might not think about this but, you need to know the capacity of air that can be pushed by your furnace. If the air flow is too low, your hvac system could experience performance related issues. Generally, most systems will have the capacity to work with furnace filters that have a rating of Merv 8 to Merv 11.

Some products are made with spun fiberglass, usually for 1” replacement air filters. They are cheap and can be purchased at most big box stores. They will capture dust and lint, but not much more. You need to replace them monthly, if you can remember!

Disposable, pleated filters are made of a cotton and polyester weave. They’re efficient at removing smaller particles, like dust mites and mold spores. The pleats are designed in such a way to provide better surface area to trap particles as your furnace pushes air through your home. While they are more expensive than fiberglass, they provide better value in that they do a better job and typically last up to 3 months before needing to be changed. Better quality ones will have little pieces of wire, and or reinforced cardboard fingers to help the pleats maintain their form.

Number of filters in a package is something to think about. Generally, most online stores offer filters in packs of 3, 6 and 12. Probably more filters than you need at one time, but it’s worth it. The sticker shock usually isn’t that bad when you consider what even a single filter may cost when the serviceman arrives.  I recently noted a price tag of almost forty dollars for a name brand 5” air filter at a big box store. For one filter? There is no need to spend that kind of money for a single filter. Most of the 16x25x1 pleated filters products are made by a few manufacturers. Big brand name companies spend a lot of money on marketing and need to charge the dollars they do to cover costs. The product isn’t any better. You’re just paying more for the marketing.  So shop online. You might pay more upfront on your purchase but, you end up getting more for your value.
